2018 Elections: Offices To Be Filled
          A NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following offices for the Village of East Nassau will need to be filled:  Village Mayor, with a term of office of two (2) years and the Board of Trustees, two (2) positions, each with a term of office of two (2) years. Village elections will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from Noon to 9:00 PM.  Interested parties should contact the Village Clerk at PO Box 268, East Nassau, NY 12062; phone (518) 794-0289 (leave message) or email

          As of Monday, November 20, 2017 the Village Clerk will be accepting absentee ballot applications.

Public Notice –Land Use Regulations Workshops

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of East Nassau, County of Rensselaer, State of New York, will hold workshops for the purpose of discussing revisions to the Village Land Use Regulations at the Hoags Corners Ambulance Building, Town Garage Road, East Nassau NY on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, January 10, 2018, February 14, 2018 and March 14, 2018 at 5:30PMRegular Village Board of Trustees monthly meetings will follow at 7:00 PM

The New York State Conference of Mayors (NYCOM) is inviting all eighth grade students currently enrolled in a school located in a city or village in New York State to participate in a statewide essay contest addressing the topic, “If I Were Mayor, I Would . .. .” This essay contest received tremendous feedback in its first year with close to 60 participating schools and 730 essays submitted.


The contest deadline is March 5, 2018.  Further details about the contest are found in the entry form/brochure link listed below and on the NYCOM website
