Spring Road Work to start the week of May 20
Our road contractor will begin routine Spring road maintenance (grading, culvert clearing, general repairs, etc.) during the week of May 20. Feel free to send email to dpw@villageofeastnassau.org with any questions or comments.
PUBLIC NOTICE: Hoags Corners Fire District No. 1 monthly meeting schedule
The monthly meeting of the Hoags Corners Fire District No. 1 occurs on the third Monday of each month starting at 7 PM at the Hoags Corners Fire House 7237 NY 66, East Nassau, New York. Recent breakins reported in Hoags Corners
A number of houses have been broken into recently in the Hoags Corners area. The perpetrators seem to be targeting vacant houses and seem most interested in metal for scrapping (copper pipes, wood stoves, etc.). The New York State Police are investigating, but until criminals are apprehended, we should be even more mindful of suspicious activity, especially around unoccupied houses in the area. Report any suspicous activity to the state police.

The East Nassau Village Board passed a resolution naming areas targeted for beautification. The board envisions volunteers coming together to plan landscaping ideas to make our village welcoming.
